Quarter Information

Quarter Dates

9 weeks per quarter.

  • First Quarter — Sept 2nd through the week of Oct 26th
  • Second Quarter — Nov 3rd through the week of Jan 11th
  • Third Quarter — Jan 19th through the week of March 15th
  • Fourth Quarter — March 30th through the week of May 17th

NWB generally follows School District #5's Major Holidays Calendar.

No classes held

  • Dec 21st – Jan 4th — Christmas Break
  • March 22nd–29th — Spring Break

The Details

Tuition, Registration & Fees

  • Registration

    Receipt of a completed registration packet including registration form, $20 registration fee, tuition and $60 costume fee (if applicable) is required to enroll in classes.

  • Tuition Payments

    We accept checks, money orders and all major credit cards. No cash please. Call (406) 755-0760 with any billing questions. Remember you must give credit card information for each billing cycle.

  • Mailing Address

  • Tuition Due

    Tuition is due in full the first class of each quarter. A $12 late fee will be applied if tuition is not received by the due date. Bills will be sent out approximately two weeks before the due date. Newsletters will be handed out a week before the due date. Students may not participate in class until tuition is paid in full.

  • Sibling discount

    Families with more than one child in the school receive a 10% discount if paying by the quarter or 5% if paying by semester. This discount will apply to the total amount of tuition only. Families with students in both the Happy Feet Division & the Student Division will pay the Student Division rate.

  • Refunds & credits

    No refunds or credits are allowed for missed classes. Talk to your teacher about making up those missed classes.

  • Cancellation

    We reserve the right to cancel a class or classes with low attendance and to substitute a teacher at our discretion.

  • Withdrawals

    Please notify us in advance if your child is withdrawing. If we are not notified you will be billed for the quarter whether your child was in attendance or not.

  • Parent Observation Days

    Parents may observe classes on the following days: Student Division the first class of each month, Happy Feet Division the last class of each month.

  • Costume Fee

    This $60 fee is due upon registration. Costumes are ordered in mid-January. If you are unable to participate in the recital, and notify Marisa before the January order date, you will receive a full costume refund. No costume is required for adults, boys and high levels of ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop. You might have to purchase more than one costume if you are in more than one dance discipline. You will be billed in the spring for the additional costumes.

Dress Code

What to wear

  • Happy Feet

    Black or pastel leotard, pink footed ballet tights, pink leather ballet slippers, and Mary Jane black tap shoes.

  • Boys

    White T-shirt, black footed tights or black leggings, black socks, and black ballet slippers.

  • Ballet

    Black leotard, pink footed ballet tights, and pink ballet slippers. (Additional leotards are allowed in optional colors.)

  • Musical Theatre

    Leggings, fitted top or leotard, and black jazz shoes (or tan if currently have them).

  • Jazz/Contemporary/Lyrical/Modern

    Leotard and footless tights, or leggings and a fitted top, and black jazz shoes (or tan if currently have them); ADV. LEVEL: Nude half soles. (Tan tights may be required for the end of the season Student Showcase Recital.)

  • Tap

    Leggings or dance pants, fitted top or leotard, black socks, and black tap shoes.

  • Accessories

    Dance bags are highly recommended. Label all dance supplies! Skirts, sweaters and all other accessories must be approved by the NWB staff. Hair up (out of the face and off of the neck) and no jewelry. Any questions beyond this, please direct them towards your specific dance instructors.

  • Let's Go Dance

    Don't want to worry about dress code? All options sold in Let's Go Dance are dress code approved. Appointments are available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:00–6:00pm. Please contact Miss Elaine to make an appointment. letsgoldinc@gmail.com

  • Lost & Found

    Please check it often! We will not be responsible for any valuables brought to the studio.

  • Drop-off / Pick-Up

    Please do not block the driveway when dropping off or picking up students. Extra parking is available in the city shops across the street and the First Avenue West Building. No parking is allowed in the lot North of the DAC (E. Thomas Electric). Please respect handicapped spaces. O'Shaughnessy: Please park on the north or east streets next to the building and enter through the North studio door.
